Veritat

For producers

What a great listing looks like

Below is a complete Veritat listing, annotated. Nothing here is invented by us — every detail comes from the producer's own page or label.

ⓘ This is a sample — an illustration, not a real product. Every oil in our directory is a real, certified bottle you can buy.
🫒

Why it matters — A clean photo of the bottle — producers paste an image link, or we pull it automatically from their product page.

Meet the maker

Casa de la Luz

Jaén, Spain

Three generations on the same hillside. María took over the mill in 2016 and moved the harvest three weeks earlier to chase polyphenols instead of yield.

Why it matters — The story sells the oil. Producers paste their "About" page — no writing required.

Temprano Picual

✓ Veritat Certified🚺 women-ledextra virginrobustorganic💪 high-polyphenolgrassyartichokepeppery

Why it matters — Buyers filter by these. The more accurate the tags, the more often an oil is found.

An early-harvest Picual pressed within four hours of picking. Bold, green and unmistakably peppery — the kind of oil that makes plain bread worth eating.

Tasting notes

Fresh-cut grass and green tomato leaf on the nose. Artichoke and almond through the middle, finishing with a clean peppery sting at the back of the throat that lingers for several seconds.

Fruitiness8/10
Bitterness6/10
Pungency7/10

Why it matters — The taste sliders let shoppers match an oil to their palate — the closest thing to tasting before buying.

Why it matters — The button goes straight to the producer's own shop. Veritat never takes a cut of the sale — we just count the click so producers can see the traffic we send.

Questions producers ask

What does it cost to list my olive oil?

Founding producers list free, permanently — no fees and no commission on sales. After the founding group is full, new producers pay a small annual certification fee. Founding members are never charged, and that promise does not expire.

How long does it take to add an oil?

About ten minutes. Paste the text from your product page, paste the link itself, or photograph your back label — the listing fills itself in, including harvest date, varietals, acidity and polyphenols where they are stated. You check what has been filled in, correct anything, and submit. A sommelier reviews it before it goes live.

Does Veritat take a commission on my sales?

No. Every purchase happens on your own website. We never touch the payment, the shipping or your customer relationship. The Buy button on your listing sends the shopper straight to your shop, and we count the click so you can see the traffic we send you.

Why do you insist on a harvest date?

Because it is the clearest signal of a real, fresh oil, and because shoppers have no other reliable way to judge age. A 'best by' date tells them nothing about when the olives were picked. Requiring it is what makes certification worth something — and it distinguishes serious producers from bulk blenders.

How are competition awards verified?

You add the competition, year, category and award level, plus a link to the result on the competition's own website. We check the link before marking the award verified, and verified awards carry a tick on your listing. Awards without a working link still appear, simply without the tick.

Can shops and importers find me for wholesale?

Yes. Tick the wholesale option on your profile, add a trade contact address and any terms — minimum order quantities, private label availability — and buyers can filter the producer directory for wholesale, origin and shipping region, then contact you directly.

Do I need a website to be listed?

It helps, because the Buy button needs somewhere to send shoppers, but it is not essential. If you sell through a marketplace or take orders by email, we can link there instead. What matters is that a buyer can actually reach you.

Most of this fills itself in

Paste your product page — or photograph your back label — and Veritat reads the details for you. You check them, we certify, and your oil goes live. Founding producers list free, forever.
